Mental health therapy at Creative Care helps with most mental health problems and concerns. However, we also treat rarer mental health issues such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Furthermore, we have over 30 years of experience healing mood disorders, substance-induced mood disorders, and bipolar disorder. We also treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and eating disorders. Finally, the Creative Care team includes experts in dual diagnosis, which means co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.

How does mental health therapy work?

The clinical team, including the program director, the psychiatrist, staff psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and other professionals, works closely with you throughout the therapy process.

Generally, you’ll meet with your individual therapist three times a week and with the psychiatrist and nurse practitioner once a week. We add additional sessions when necessary according to clinical reviews.

Additionally, family therapy, which includes phone sessions on a weekly basis, is also part of your mental health therapy when you’re ready for it.

Mental health therapy generally lasts a minimum of 30 days, with at least 60-90 days recommended for optimal results.
