How does mental health therapy work?
The clinical team, including the program director, the psychiatrist, staff psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and other professionals, works closely with you throughout the therapy process.
Generally, you’ll meet with your individual therapist three times a week and with the psychiatrist and nurse practitioner once a week. Additional sessions are added as-needed, based on clinical reviews.
Family therapy, which includes phone sessions on a weekly basis, is also part of your mental health therapy when you’re ready for it.
Mental health therapy generally lasts a minimum of 30 days, with at least 60-90 days recommended for optimal results.
