While the terms sound a bit intimidating, testing includes interviews, informal tests, surveys, questionnaires, and other assessments. Some of the tests at Creative Care include:
- Biopsychosocial Evaluation
- Mental Status Evaluation (MSE)
- Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
- Nursing evaluation
- Record Review
- Symptom Distress (OQ45.2), Depression (PHQ-9), and Attachment (ECR) questionnaires
- MMPI, Millon, or PAI
The biopsychosocial evaluation, for example, assesses the biological, psychological, and social factors that may be contributing to the problems a client is experiencing. We take a look at medical history, education level and work environment, any family or marriage concerns, and more to best identify a client’s needs.
Creative Care offers activities groups as part of our holistic, “whole-person” approach to mental health treatment. No two clients are alike, and we honor the individual by tailoring each treatment plan with a blend of evidence-based strategies designed to give each client the best possible chance at a lasting recovery. For example, a personalized treatment plan may also include:
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Mindfulness interventions and meditation
- Activities groups
- Family therapy
- Trauma therapy
- Attachment-based psychotherapy
- Dialectical behavior therapy
- Art therapy
- EMDR
- Yoga
Our fully equipped staff, including a consulting psychiatrist, psychotherapists, registered nurses, counselors, and other highly trained professionals, works as a team to get to the root of each client’s needs.
