From Anxiety to Schizophrenia, We Can Help Through Our Mental Health Treatment Program

The National Alliance on Mental Health reports that one in five people in the United States struggles with a mental health issue in any given year and one in 25 faces a serious and debilitating mental health problem. Yet too few people seek the help they need, which contributes to this next awful statistic: Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 10- to 34-year-olds.

At Creative Care, our goal is to help people with mental health issues get the experienced and compassionate care they need. Our programs are designed to provide our clients with the evidence-based tools they need to take back control of their lives, freeing them from the prison that mental health issues so often build.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or you’ve been diagnosed with schizophrenia, here’s how we can help through our mental health treatment program.

Residential care

When it comes to getting the mental health care you or a loved one needs, our team of highly qualified mental health experts agrees that one of the best ways to tackle the problem is through an initial residential program.

By devoting this time to yourself in an environment where your only responsibility is to your health, you have the space you need to address your mental health issue. This oasis of care in a world that sometimes seems intent upon throwing up hurdle after hurdle is critical when you’re taking your first steps toward improving your mental health.

And our facilities are designed to encourage and support your journey in every way. Our Calabasas campus is situated on a beautifully wooded, one-acre property in Malibu Canyon that offers endless peace and serenity. Wedged between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains, the facility features nearby hiking trails and sporting facilities, which allow you to decompress and refocus your energies in a healthier way.

Expert support

As wonderful as our facilities are, they’re nothing without the incredible staff dedicated to your care. From our certified and licensed psychiatrists and therapists to our direct care personnel, our goal is that you’re met with compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable mental health experts who help you every step of the way. In fact, our care extends to the kitchen, where our devoted chef makes sure that your nutritional needs are covered.

This individualized care is paramount when it comes to surmounting mental health issues as we understand that every person is different, with unique histories, diagnoses, and concerns. We tailor each person’s treatment to their circumstances to ensure that they have the tools they need to lead happy, productive lives.

Length of stay

There’s no one-size-fits-all program, but we recommend that our clients stay for at least 30 days, which gives us enough time to make some headway. Mental health issues can be difficult to treat, as there’s typically no simple cure. Instead, it often takes a multi-pronged effort through medications, one-on-one therapy, group counseling, and targeted therapeutic modalities.

While this 30-day start is critical, many of our clients opt to stay for 60 or 90 days, during which time they slowly gain the confidence they need to head back out into the world.
